The National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) was established as a coordinating agency facilitating Christian unity, public witness, and cooperative ministry among evangelical denominations, congregations, educational institutions, and service agencies in the United States. The Association traces its beginnings back to 1942. The CCCC has been an active member of the National Association of Evangelicals for many years. Several of our members have been actively involved in positions of leadership within the NAE including the present President, Rev. Dr. Leith Anderson, whose church has dual standing with the CCCC and the Baptist General Conference.

There are five foundational "behaviors" of a healthy church. And if any of these five are lacking (or missing altogether), the church's ability to function as God intended is seriously diminished. Therefore, these five become the core of what the CCCC Ministry of Church Redevelopment addresses:
- Prayer - specifically intercessory prayer, we believe that no church can experience revitalization without it.
But because so few churches teach their members to pray today, this becomes an immediate limiting factor. Establishing a prayer movement within the congregation is often the very first plan of attack.
- Ministry - here we're emphasizing ministry outside the church building itself, leading the congregation to tangibly express the love and compassion of Christ out in the community as was our Savior's example. In our growing Postmodern/Post-Christian society, it is becoming far more difficult to bring people into the church until they have firm relationships with those who already attend. Therefore, it is imperative to take ministry out into the world where the people live that we are trying to reach.
- Evangelism - sharing one's faith in a relevant witness through a life transformed is extraordinarily different than repeating an outline or a memorized plan of salvation. Regardless of the method, the message is empty if it does not come from the depths of one's being. Like Philip and the Ethiopian, we seek to be ready, listening and obedient to the Spirit's whisper so that we might be his instruments in introducing people to Jesus Christ.
- Discipleship - more than walking through a curriculum, the discipleship of which we speak is teaching and encouragement that leads one through literal transformation in Christ. It takes time and a lot of commitment to one another, but we believe this kind of investment is what God requires.
- Worship - the worship of God transcends personal tastes in music style, liturgy and tradition. While such things are vital tools to point us toward Him, worship is actually a matter of the heart before God. We seek worship that is fully centered on blessing and uplifting God and God alone.
In our overall work of redevelopment with a church, we will focus on all five of these area to ensure they are strong and formative in the congregation.
